Privacy Policy
Gesture Synth is built around local processing. Your webcam frames and performance recordings stay in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.
Camera access
The site requests access to your front-facing camera only after you press Start camera. Camera access is used to show the live stage and detect hand landmarks. Gesture Synth does not request microphone access. You can stop access by closing the page, using the site control, or revoking camera permission in your browser.
Hand tracking and third-party assets
Hand tracking runs in your browser with MediaPipe Tasks Vision. The page loads JavaScript, WebAssembly files, and the hand-landmarker model needed to perform that calculation. These assets may be served from gesturesynth.cc or the dedicated assets.gesturesynth.cc origin. Camera images are processed locally and are not sent to Google or an inference API.
Local recordings
When supported, the optional recorder combines the rendered canvas with synthesized audio for up to 15 seconds. The browser creates a Blob and a temporary object URL for replay and download. There is no cloud upload or storage fallback. Replacing or discarding a take revokes the previous URL, and closing the page removes the remaining temporary data.
Accounts, analytics, and advertising
The initial version has no account system, database, analytics script, advertising code, or payment provider. Standard hosting infrastructure may process basic request information such as IP address, user agent, requested file, and time in short-lived security or delivery logs. Those logs do not contain camera frames or recordings.
Your choices
You may use the informational parts of the site without enabling the camera. If you do enable it, browser permission controls let you revoke access at any time. Recording remains optional and may be disabled when the browser cannot create a compatible local media stream.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated before adding any analytics, advertising, account, upload, or cloud-storage feature. Questions about privacy can be sent to privacy@gesturesynth.cc. This address must be configured for delivery before the public launch.
